SURFACE NOISE LIBRARY

Vinyl Library for a music collector situated within a 16m² footprint.
The collection itself contains 7000+ records that have been catalogued for regular access.

During a conversation with the client an idea developed beyond designing a bespoke DJ’s desk towards treating the whole room as a singular piece of furniture. Built in Oak faced plywood and set onto a cork floor the studio continues over a threshold doorway and into the adjoining room creating a deep transitional space between the two parts of the house.
